Arsenal to buy Porto leader!

Arsenal to buy Porto leader!

Porto's talented midfielder Fabio Vieira will soon become an Arsenal player! The Gunners will pay 40 million euros for the 22-year-old performer.

Fabio Vieira is an alumnus of Porto who took his first steps in football in the 2019/20 season. For two years he was not a line-up player of the Dragons, but in the 2021/22 campaign, the Portuguese really broke out. In all competitions, he played 37 matches, scored seven goals and made 16 assists. Vieira became the second assistant of the Primeira Liga, losing in this indicator only to the representative of Benfica, Rafa Silva. Fabio also rocks in the Portugal U-21 team. Thirteen accurate shots in 20 meetings is another confirmation of this.

It is not surprising that Arsenal turned their attention to the talented football player, who needs to reinforce the attacking link. Yes, the Gunners are full of creative players. But Saka, and Smith-Row, and Odegaard, and Martinelli, and Nketiah are too young and unstable. With good technique and a penetrating last pass, Fabio Vieira is able to impose decent competition on them.

Arteta's Arsenal play predominantly in a 4-3-3 formation, although they sometimes switch to 4-2-3-1. Such formations allow the Gunners to dominate the football pitch and create a lot of dangerous chances, which, however, does not always guarantee their success. Let us remind you that the London club finished the championship in fifth place and will play only in the group stage of the Europa League.

And Vieira played the role of a central attacking midfielder at 4-2-3-1 and left midfielder at 4-3-3 at Porto. As you can see, at 22, Fabio is already a tactically competent football player, able to play in any position in creation. This is an excellent quality for the Premier League, where universal players are highly valued. A strong season in the performance of the Portuguese contributed to his career growth.

It is far from certain that Fabio Vieira will instantly fit into the concept of Arsenal's game. At such a young age, it is not easy to exchange sunny Portugal for the Albion. However, the 22-year-old midfielder will qualitatively expand the roster of the Gunners, who just lack the depth of the bench for the coveted finish in the Champions League zone.
