Eden Hazard is coming back to the EPL!

Real Madrid attacking midfielder Eden Hazard plans to revive his career! The Belgian is not opposed to moving to the English Premier League this winter - Aston Villa and Newcastle are interested in his services.

Hazard began his football performances at Lille, France, after which, in 2012, he was seen by Chelsea scouts and invited to the titled London club. There, Eden turned into a real leader of attack for a long seven years and brought several prestigious trophies to the Blues. And in the 2018/19 campaign, the Belgian scored 16 goals and provided 15 assists in the Premier League alone!

In the same season, Chelsea, thanks to the efforts of Hazard, took the Europa League Cup. At that time, the Belgian was one of the top 10 players in the world – it’s not surprising that Real Madrid really wanted to lure him. Los Blancos bosses did not spare 100 million euros for the transfer of Eden and hoped that in the future he would come as close as possible to the level of play of Cristiano Ronaldo, the former symbol of the club.

However, in the capital of Spain, Hazard did much worse than expected. In three and a half years at the Santiago Bernabeu, he has played 72 matches (most of them incomplete), scored 7 goals and provided 9 assists! At the same time, the 31-year-old Belgian began to experience problems with being overweight, which led to an increase in the number of injuries. In addition, Eden is the highest paid Real Madrid player - yes, all this for past merits!

The wing midfielder's contract with Los Blancos is coming to an end in 2024, but Madrid will try to get rid of the player even earlier. The media reported that Newcastle and Aston Villa are planning to pick him up, by paying Real about 20 million euros. The player himself doesn’t mind returning to the league where he spent the best years of his career. He even spoke about this decision to Thibaut Courtois, his partner at the club and the Belgian national team.

Given the current transfer policy of Newcastle, which doesn’t take “downed pilots”, we still tend to believe in Eden Hazard to move to Aston Villa. There he would noticeably lose financially, but at least he would get more match practice and get a chance to return to a high level. At the same time, Real Madrid would minimize the losses from the failed transfer and significantly unload their payroll.
