Arsenal are optimistic about the future!
The current vice-champions of England, Arsenal, are ready to extend the contracts of three key team players at once! We are talking about attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard, as well as defenders Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White.
Gone are the days when the Gunners were forced to send their best players to Manchester City (Adebayor, Nasri), Barcelona (Henry, Gleb), or Manchester United (van Persie). The Londoners are now a fully self-sufficient side, eager to create and enhance their personal legacy. Against the backdrop of their recent successes, three important players from Arteta’s team will receive improved contracts with the club.
Since 2021, it is difficult to imagine Arsenal's attack without Martin Odegaard, one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League. In the previous campaign alone, the Norwegian scored 22 goals (15 goals + 7 assists). The Gunners appreciate the player's efficient play and have offered him an improved contract until the summer of 2027, with the option of extending for another season. Even Odegaard himself believes that he will defend the colors of the North London club for a long time.
Ben White also appeared in the Gunners squad two years ago, during which he went from center back at the then modest Brighton to a Champions League participant and a first-team player for the England national team. We will also note the versatility of the 26-year-old defender, capable of playing both on the wing and in the center. White's current employment agreement with Arsenal runs for another three years, but is highly likely to be extended.
The same goes for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has finally established himself at the heart of the Premier League club. Yes, he had a difficult time at Manchester City, but at Arsenal, Mikel Arteta found good use for the Ukrainian’s talents. Now he is the club's uncontested left-back with constant shifts to midfield. Now Oleksandr is 26 years old, and his best football years are spent here and now.
As we see, Arsenal have finally decided on the candidacies of the players around whom Mikel Arteta will build the team. All of them are ready to give their all for the success of the club, which speaks of an excellent microclimate within the team and its well-founded ambitions.
- Chelsea don't have enough left backs! Three months before the opening of the winter transfer window, the restless Chelsea have already drawn up a shortlist of desired left-backs! This includes Milan's Theo Hernandez and Inter's Federico Dimarco
- Neymar freaks out and asking to go home! Just a month after moving to Al-Hilal, Neymar is already involved in a scandal! Against the backdrop of the club's recent failures, he had a quarrel with head coach Jorge Jesus and clearly hinted at an imminent return to Brazil.
