Why it is time for Arsenal’s management to let Wenger go

Betfair betting exchange representative Ben McAleer reckons that now the club’s management must let Arsene Wenger go from the manager post due to four losses in a row. That has not happened with the club since 2002.

Regarding the current situation in Arsenal McAleer claims as follows: “Without managerial changes Arsenal may face the risk of being left out of the Champions League and the Europa League. For a club of such level this can be a disaster”.

After two defeats from Manchester City in the English Cup and the EPL with the same result of 0:3 and the lost match against Brighton (2:1) there were significant prerequisites for Arsene Wenger’s dismissal. After the 29th round the Gunners are falling 13 points behind from the fourth position, necessary to enter the Champions League next season. The odds on Arsenal to break into the top four is 46.00, which is almost impossible task by bookmakers’ standards.

The main candidate for dismissal in the EPL, according to betting operators’ unanimous opinion, is West Ham’s manager Alan Pardew (1.37), who came to the Throstles’ camp in the middle of the current season to save them from relegation. On the second position is the aforementioned manager of the team from North London (4.00).

Wenger still has a chance to cling on to entering the most prestigious club tournament of the Old World, if he manages to bring Arsenal the Europa League trophy in the current season. However, by hitting in the round of 16 on Milan, which defeats opponents on the way with charismatic coach Jenarro Gattuso as the leader, it will be very hard for the perennial manager of the Gunners to achieve a positive result.

After the defeat to Brighton, Wenger said in the aftermath: “I have enough experience, it is enough to look around and see”.

The club’s supporters are tired of the repeat of the same scenario for three years in a row, chanting each time with more force “Wenger Out”. Arsenal’s management has to sack a manager as soon as possible, who took the EPL crown without any defeat. However, Wenger’s time has passed and the club must move forward and not be afraid to make a wrong move. Being in stagnation, Arsenal will keep losing points and the status of one of the strongest clubs in England.

Amongst the possible candidates for the Gunners’ head coach post, bookmakers consider the Italian maestro manager Carlo Ancelotti (3.50), and the London club’s legend Thierry Henry (3.50). It is hard to say, which of the candidates will fir Arsenal better, but it is clear, who should not have another chances.
