Kovac wants to achieve a result with Eintracht

Eintracht head coach Niko Kovac has signed a preliminary agreement with Bayern Munich last week and will become the manager of the Bavarians in June. Before the move to Allianz Arena, the Croat intends to achieve result with the Frankfurt team in the cup final.

On Wednesday, the Eagles defeated Schalke Gelsenkirchen, 0:1, thus securing themselves advancement to the German Cup final for the second year in a row. Such a success was not left unnoticed by Bayern management representative Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and in the summer the Croat will become the manager of the titled German club.

Eintracht are occupying the seventh position in Bundesliga and are fighting for getting into the eurocups. Theoretically, Kovac’s team has chances on clinging onto a place in the top four, allowing to play in the Champions League group stage. Five points separate them from Borussia Dortmund and Bayer, which are possible to level within the last four matches.

The manager talks positively about the team from Frankfurt am Main saying at the recent press conferences that the team deserves a Nobel prize for achievements.

In an interview to Eintracht official website, the Croat said:

“What the guys do, emphasizes their spirit and we are in the final now for the second year in a row. Of course we know, with whom we are going to play in Berlin, but at the moment the predominant emotion is pride”.

The last time Eintracht lifted the German over their heads was thirty years ago. Bookmakers do not believe in the Eagles’ emotional advantage in the match against the hegemon of the German football. Therefore the odds of 8.00 characterize their level well. Opposite to the current team of Niko Kovac, the odds on his future side’s victory are 1.08. However, a victory in the final of the national tournament would become a great addition to the portfolio of the Croatian specialist.
