Napoli are in talks with Ancelotti

According to the Italian media, the Neapolitan club is close to an agreement with the former manager of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Milan and Bayern Munich.

Corriere dello Sport claimed on Monday that Carlo Ancelotti will lead Napoli in the nearest future. The Italian journalist Ivan Zazzaroni stressed,

“I still cannot believe it, but this source has never given me unreliable information after so many years.”

The Italian will replace Maurizio Sarri at the head coach post, who is of serious interest to London Chelsea and Saint-Petersburg Zenit. Apart from that, the current manager of Azzurri has spoiled relationship with the club president Aurelio De Laurentiis. The manager constantly received denial in attempt to strengthen the roster and the management set unachievable goals, the apogee of which is the second place in the championship.

According to the same source, Laurentiis has not conducted negotiations with any other manager except Ancelotti, stopping his choice on the specialist exclusively. Whereas, lawyers from Parma help the president in negotiation of the future post for Papa Carlo. The manager himself expected  a job in London as Arsenal head coach, but the Gunners chose Unai Emery.

Ancelotti is a logical decision for Napoli as the manager’s distinctive feature is building a team from the bottom. Pepe Reina will leave the team this summer, who intends to move to Milan. Kalidou Koulibaly chooses between Manchester United and Barcelona, therefore the Italian will have to deal with strengthening the squad this summer.

Thanks to Ancelotti Napoli will be able to keep their strength until the end of the championship and to impose a serious battle on Inter, Roma and Juventus next season. Whereas Partenopei need to keep Hamsik, Jorginho, Insigne and Mertens. These footballers play the definitive roles in the team and Napoli’s game for the past two years has been built on them.

Papa Carlo has a great chance to return home to Italy gloriously. Napoli have gained some experience in the last seasons and aims for trophies, which they couldn’t get yet. Ancelotti knows how to create winners of domestic tournaments as well as reaching finals stages of the Champions League, which is proven by  pages of his biography in Milan and Real Madrid.
