Inter strengthen attack

On Wednesday, Inter Milan officially announced the loan of Balde Keita, who spent last season in the French Monaco, which shows focus on strengthening attacking line.

Inter’s transfer campaign is one of the most productive in Italy and Europe. Nerazzurri aroused the market with the purchases of Nainggolan, Sime Vrsaljko, Matteo Politano, Federico Dimarco, de Vrij and Kwadwo Asamoah. However. Luciano Spalletti also wanted to purchase Luka Modric, but Real Madrid refused to let the Croat go for less than 750 million euros compensation written in the halfback’s contract.

After that, Spalletti signed a new contract with the club, having received a carte-blanche on further actions and continued strengthening the already ambitious squad. The Italian purchased Lautaro Martinez in attack from the Argentine Racing and also took Balde Keita on one-year loan. The Senegalese is known for his performance in the Roman Lazio, but last season he performed in the French Ligue 1. The winger has had 110 matches  and scored 26 goals in the Italian Serie A and thanks to his versatility the footballer is capable of covering a wing or replace Mauro Icardi.

Inter presented the new player with a video, in which they compared Keita with DC Comics superhero Flash, who is the fastest man on the planet. Having strengthened defense and attack, Nerazzurri are ready to compete with Juventus, Napoli and Roma for Scudetto.

In an interview for Sky Sport Italia, Spalletti commented on his contract extension and the new squad,

“I am happy that Inter offered me a new agreement. Right now I am in a place, where I’ve always wanted to be. We are getting ready for a new season right now and are enthusiastic about it.

I am happy with the squad I have at my disposal. These are the players I need.”

Inter should rightfully be named contenders for the championship title, considering the team’s start last season and being on the first position for a month. But the lack of the bench and tactical versatility did not let the Big Grass Snake stay at the top of the pedestal.
