Lucas Paqueta is Milan’s future
Globo Esporte newspaper has been published with a statement that the Brazilian Flamengo player Lucas Paqueta will move to Milan in winter. I Rossoneri will pay for him about 35 million euros taking into account possible bonuses.
This season in the Brazilian Serie A, the 21-year old half-back has taken part in 24 matches out of 28, in which he scored nine goals and made one assist. The media report that will soon get to Milan base, where he will pass medical examination and the transfer will happen in January next year simultaneously with the opening of the transfer window.
However, Flamengo have not confirmed the information, claiming that negotiations continue and will last a few weeks. Whereas the French PSG, Barcelona are interested in the footballer and previously the contenders list included Dynamo Kyiv, and Shakhtar Donetsk, but Milan are closer to the purchase than other clubs.
The media also claim that the former player of the club Ricardo Kaka played a pivotal role in Paqueta’s interest in Milan. Working in I Rossoneri structure, the Brazilian was sent home, so he would talk to the midfielder and convince him to transfer to Milan before his contract extension and his compensation increasing to 70 million euros.

There is no player in modern Milan, capable of playing on Kaka’s position. Biglia, Kessie and Bonaventura are talented but perform other functions on the pitch. Therefore Paqueta’s transfer is not only profitable, but would give variability for Gattuso in restructuring the game during the course of a match. Moreover, there is someone to play beneath.
