Pochettino isn’t worried about results

London Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino gave an interview, in which he claimed that he isn’t worried about injuries of key players. The Argentine, known for his critique of the Spurs management, is now showing neutral attitude towards the team.

London Tottenham couldn’t withhold leading positions against Manchester City after the Citizens’ three defeats in four rounds and conceded in the latest matches to Wolvehampton 1:3 at first, and later Manchester United 0:1.

After 23 rounds, the London team is occupying third place in the league, whereas trying to solve problems with players’ injuries. Such performers as Harry Kane, and Lucas Moura are in the team infirmary ans Son Heung-min went to the national for the Cup of Asia. This season the three have scored 40 goals in total, but Pochettino is not worried about that,

“ After almost five years now, you know me pretty well, I am not worried. It is a good chance for young players to make a step forward and try to prove themselves in the first team. I am not one of those, who is worried.

Injuries throughout the season can be in every team, not just us. At such moments it is important to keep calm and of course believe in the team as we do.”

One the one hand, Pochettino said right words. However, Tottenham’s problems are obvious and substitute players cannot replace the absent footballers. Winks is unstable, Lamela is not as efficient, as Son, and Llorente score only own goals, as it was in the match with Fulham.

In the wake of the latest results of Tottenham and Pochettino’s statements, there is an impression that the Argentine doesn’t care for the team and he is waiting for an invitation from Manchester United or Real Madrid, where bookmakers have been actively sending him for the past six months.
