Rabiot wants to go to Liverpool

The French PSG midfielder intends to leave Parc des Princes in the summer, hoping to prove himself in England. The halfback refused the offers from Barcelona and Tottenham, as he wants to work with Jurgen Klopp.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Adrien Rabiot from PSG is going to move to Liverpool. The player’s contract with the Parisians expires next summer and the 23-year-old midfielder has not signed a new agreement. This means that there is a line of football clubs after the footballer, wanting to shelter the champion of France almost for free.

At first Barcelona offered the player terms for a transfer, but after the purchase of De Yong from Ajax, they cooled off for the PSG player. According to the Spanish media, the Catalans interest in Rabiot remains, but they will now try hard.

In parallel, the Frenchman received an offer from Tottenham. The Spurs avid for free players, offered Rabiot a signing bonus of five million euros and a salary of 7.5 million euros per season. For the same reason, the interest in footballer was attributed to Chelsea and Bayern; however, local newspapers are confident that the player wants to go to Liverpool.

This season Rabiot has played in 20 matches in all tournaments for PSG and scored two goals. However, right now the player is suspended from work with the first squad because of the refusal to sign a new contract. It is reported that Rabiot’s teammates and head coach Thomas Tuchel stand for the return of the halfback to the main squad, if he doesn’t leave PSG in January.

Considering Rabiot’s possible transfer to Liverpool we should note that such a player would fit Klopp. Keita plays at winger position, Fabinho is a defensive midfielder and Shaqiri should work closer to attack. Therefore, Rabiot would fit as a substitute for Henderson and Milner, and also can think of development of attack, playing on creation.
