Neville advises Klopp to lose to Bayern

The former Manchester United player and currently an expert on the British channel Sky Sports has advised the Liverpool head coach to lose to Bayern in the Champions League. According to the Englishman, this will help the Reds to achieve the championship title in the EPL.

In the latest round of the EPL, Liverpool had a draw with Everton 0:0 and conceded the first place to Manchester City. The Reds are falling behind Pep Guardiola’s team by one point, whereas expecting difficult matches against Chelsea and Tottenham from London.

In one of his latest interviews, Gary Neville predicted, what will help the team from the Merseyside kingdom to the championship for the first time in 29 years. According to the former Manchester United footballer, the free calendar contributes to that,

“ I have always reckoned that Liverpool will win the Premier League if they have a free calendar.

I will say this. Get eliminated by Bayern. That sounds insane, you can’t go out thinking with thoughts of defeat. But I really reckon that a free calendar will be beneficial for Liverpool.”

Manchester City won the League Cup this season, are close to advance to the Champions League quarter-finals, after a victory over Schalke and continue to fight for the English Cup. A victory in the most prestigious club tournament in Europe is in priority for Pep Guardiola,as he has already won domestic cups with the Citizens.

Klopp led Liverpool to the champions League final last season, but as in case of the Reds advancement to the Europa League final, they lost 1:3. Therefore the German has the right to sacrifice the Champions League, save some strength and leave only the EPL for themselves. Whereas the Merseysiders have already dropped out of the internal cups, but even considering that they have lost their advantage before Manchester City by seven points.

The only thing that bothers Liverpool is a narrow bench. No matter how weird it may sound after the summer transfer campaign. In case one player of the starting lineup drops out, Klopp has no one to replace him with without the quality loss. Keita has not adapted completely, Shaqiri doesn’t completely understand his duties on the pitch and Origi, Sturridge and Lallana without the necessary gaming practice are not capable of anything, as practice shows.
