Bayern and Manchester United want Pepe

A serious dispute broke out over the Lille winger, Nicolas Pepe. Manchester United and Bayern Munich are claiming the footballer. According to the latest information, the Germans have already made Les Dogues an offer.

Lille have become a phenomenon this season in the French football. The team is ouccpying the first place in the league amongst all “earth” teams, not taking PSG into account. Lille have confidently broke away from Lyon by four points and keep occupying the second place nine matches before the end of Ligue 1. The main figures of Les Dogues’ success are the head coach, Galtier as well as the team top goalscorer Nicolas Pepe, which has scored 17 goals and made 7 assists.

Rumors about the winger’s transfer were back in the first half of the season. Thus, back in December, Lille’s Scouting Football Adviser Luis Campos gave an interview, in which he told about the interest in their leader,

“I hope we will do everything possible for him to stay. All the world’s top clubs are following Nicolas and that is normal.

The club president made it clear that he wants Pepe to conclude the season at Lille. But my football experience suggests that if some big club will make an offer and convince the player, then… 80 million euros is enough.”

Last summer Lille accepted an offer from Lyon on Pepe for 30 million euros, but the footballer stayed at Stade Pierre-Mauroy for personal reasons. Now his price tag is 80 million euros and Bayern are ready to go for it.

According to BeIN Sports statement, the men from Munich agree on the price for the player, who in theory will replace Ribery or Robben. Apart from Bayern, Adidas company is also interested in the transfer. The German clothing brand will facilitate the implementation of the deal. Bookmakers also believe in that. The odds on Pepe’s transfer to Bayern are 1.83. PSG are second on the list – 6,50; the London Arsenal are third – 6,50.
