Man Utd surprise with transfer goals

Changes are coming to Manchester United and the club is aiming at two players from the Italian Serie A.

According to media reports this weekend, Manchester United sent their agents to watch the players from Napoli and Cagliari, who are meeting in the next round of Serie A. According to the information, the Red Devils’ scouts were looking at the central defender of the Neapolitans Kalidou Koulibaly and the Cagliari  midfielder Nicolo Barella.

It is said that the United scouts have long been watching Koulibaly for a long time, while Barella has been on their radar recently. Solskjaer with the management is looking for a replacement for Fred, who has not adapted to the game of Manchester United, and also want to play it safe in case Paul Pogba leaves the club.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that United has expanded its summer transfer plans and, in particular, have followed the pair of Napoli and Cagliari, which met on Sunday at Stadio San Paolo.

Barella was previously associated with the move to the Premier League. The player in January was actively watched by London Arsenal and Chelsea. The cost of the football player is estimated at 43 million pounds. At the same time,  the president of Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis estimates Koulibaly at 128 million pounds, which does not allow competing clubs to join the battle for the Senegalese.

Koulibaly has proven himself over the past two seasons and has become a target for a number of clubs, including Manchester City, Barcelona and PSG. President Napoli understands that holding the defender will not work, so it would be logical to get a good benefit from him for the further progress of the club.

This season, the 22-year-old Barella has played 32 matches in Serie A, in which he scored one goal and made three assists. In the 4-3-1-2 Cagliari formation, the Italian played the position of the defensive midfielder, so it is not surprising that United is looking for a change in Matic and a safety net for Fred or McTominay.
