Inter have already found replacement for Spalletti

Inter Milan, which aren’t too confident this current season, wrote off all the failures of the current coach Luciano Spalletti. The club has already found a new coach.

According to Italian media, the successor of Luciano Spalletti on the Neradzurri coaching post will be Antonio Conte. For two years, Spalletti takes the team to the Champions League, although it is still not clear whether the Big Grass Snake will play in the most prestigious club tournament in Europe this fall. The team is fighting for a place in the sun with Atalanta, Milan, Roma and Torino.

In the group stage of the Champions League, the Milan club missed a ticket to the playoffs, failing to beat PSV in the final match. After six rounds, Inter and Tottenham scored eight points each, but in head-to-head meetings the Spurs went further and met with Liverpool in the final of the tournament. Inter also dropped out into the Europa League, but didn’t pin any great hopes on the competition, and at the stage of round of 16, German Eintracht knocked them out with one goal from Jovic in two matches.

Spalletti for two years at Giuseppe Meazza tried to build a game of Inter, starting from the defense. Therefore, it is not surprising that in the current season his team scored only 52 goals and conceded 28. In comparison with the indicators of Atalanta (73:44), this figure is ridiculous. It's not even that Inter have no spectacular game, which is an important detail for today's football. The bottom line is that the picture of the game resembles the matches of typical British low-league teams, when the extreme midfielders drag the ball around the flank, and then serve on the only forward.

So it was before the conflict with Spalletti Icardi. Lautaro Martinez didn’t constantly look for a space to serve, so Inter’s results deteriorated over time. In the last 10 matches of Serie A, Neradzurri played a draw 4 times, won 4 times and lost twice. Not surprisingly, at the end of the second season, the management decided to part with Spalletti and called for help from Antonio Conte.

The tactics of the former coach of Juventus and Chelsea include playing five defenders. With a sufficient number of quality defenders from Inter, Conte will be easy to establish such a game. A bigger problem will be to train the extreme defenders to perform the function of the laterals and connect to the attack, not forgetting the defense.

According to the Sky Sport Italia journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Inter agreed with Conte about the contract until the summer of 2023. The matter remained for trifles, after which the general director of Neradzurri Beppe Marotta, who is interested in the candidacy of the Italian coach, will sign a contract with Conte.
