Abramovich to sack Sarri

This season, the London Chelsea took symbolic bronze medals of the EPL, advanced to the League Cup and the Europa League final, but even that may be not enough for Sarri.

Although this season didn’t work out for the Blues, the team has already played in two cup finals – the English Super Cup and the League Cup. Both times Maurizio Sarri’s team lost to Manchester City. Chelsea also advanced to the Europa League final, where they will clash with their neighbors Arsenal with Peter Cech on goal.

However, as the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport assures, this will not suffice for the Blues’ president Roman Abramovich.

The Russian businessman continues to bend his policy of coaches’ interim management at the club. This time, he doesn’t like the fans' displeasure of Sarri’s work, who came to Stamford Bridge last summer.

The former Napoli coach replaced Antonio Conte at the managerial post, who, having brought the game with three central defenders into the Premier League and elevated it into an ideal, was driven out by the players themselves. The riots inside Chelsea are commonplace, since in this way the London team dismissed more than one coach. However, Sarri put things in order in the locker room and achieved advancement to the Champions League for the next season with the team.

One can endlessly blame Sarri for primitivism regarding the attack, the loan of Higuain, Hazard's game on the edge or Kante's retraining from the defensive midfielder to a playmaker, but he fulfilled his minimum tasks for the season. In addition, Chelsea were denied an appeal to the transfer ban. Given this factor, it is unknown who will go to Stamford Bridge to work with those players who are present. Especially, if Hazard leaves in the summer.

Sarri will return to Italy without too much difficulty and go to work at Milan or Roma, which are interested in his candidacy. But Chelsea will have to forget about the Champions League if the club is left without Hazard and Jorginho, who is likely to follow the Italian.
