West Ham try to strengthen

London West Ham are trying to conduct a quality transfer campaign, but so far things are not going very well. The deal with Maxi Gomez fell through and the club is trying to sign Gonzalo Higuain.

Last season, London's West Ham was more like a team that, after the stadium's reconstruction, set itself lofty goals. On the coaching bridge, the Hammers and Manuel Pellegrini took 10th place in the Premier League and were close to the Europa League zone.

The summer transfer window was supposed to give impetus to the club, which needs a drive forward after Arnautovic leaves for China. First, the English club turned to the Spanish Celta and tried to sign Maxi Gomez. The Uruguayan last season nipped 13 goals in all matches, and also made five assists. However, the transfer of the 22-year-old attacker failed, because he chose a more acceptable option.

The forward moved to Valencia, which took fourth place and in the second season in a row will play in the Champions League. The team has already strengthened with Jasper Silessen from Barcelona, exchanging him for Neto, and now he will send his striker Santi Mina to Celta.

Out of work, West Ham switched to Gonzalo Higuain. The hammers hoped to rent an Argentinean for a year, since he turned out to be unnecessary for Juventus. Last season, Pipita played 39 matches in Milan and Chelsea, scoring 13 goals.

West Ham is also considering an option with Eintracht striker Sebastien Aller. Prior to that, the London club has already issued a purchase of midfielder Villarreal Pablo Fornals, which cost them 27 million euros, so he is looking for the tip of the attacks, in the company to the restored Yarmolenko.
