Mourinho has a new place of work

After the dismissal in mid-December from the post of  the head coach of Manchester United, Jose Mourinho received a new challenge.

There were many rumors about the future of the Portuguese after the dismissal. Mourinho was credited with continuing his coaching career at Bayern Munich, returning to Real Madrid or Inter, even rumors circulated of interest from China. But the Special One took a vacation and only now returned to work.

In the end of last season, Jose worked at the final match of the Champions League as an expert. His skill attracted Sky Sports, after which the Portuguese was offered the work of an analyst on the channel. This became known from the official website of the popular British sports channel last week.

Mourinho's debut on Sky Sports took place on Sunday in the central match of the first round with the participation of his former teams - Chelsea and Manchester United. Thus, the coach’s words about resuming work in club football were not true,

“When I left United in December, I immediately determined that I wanted to resume work in the summer. I hope that in July I will start a project that will really appeal to me,” said the Special One in a comment to RMC in mid-May of this year.

Mourinho's departure from coaching at this stage is a big loss for football. Since football has long been a show, he is sorely lacking the eccentric Mourinho, who is able to skillfully divert the attention of the press to himself, build psychological games with the coaches of his rivals and allow himself various tricks at press conferences.

In England, most coaches now complain about refereeing and regulations. The Premier League lost a lot from the fact that Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds did not get into the top division. However, Mourinho will continue to delight fans with what he did best in the last year of his work as a coach - the sharpness of comments on television. Perhaps, being on the periphery, he will be able to unmask the extinct flame in the Premier League.
