Milan set their sights on main football traveler!

Atlético and Spain striker Alvaro Morata could return to Serie A! Milan are showing a substantive interest in the player, who is looking for an alternative to his main attackers.

Alvaro Morata, a Real Madrid product, did not fit his home club, and in 2014, immediately after Decima, he went to Juventus. After two successful years in Turin, the Spaniard returned to Real Madrid, then there were another one and a half seasons at Chelsea, one and a half seasons in Atlético on loan, two at Juventus, and Morata again spends the current campaign at the Metropolitano, where he scored 10 times in 26 La Liga matches.

Surprisingly, clubs have always paid a lot of money for Alvaro, but the player himself can hardly be classified as an elite player. His value lies in his ability to divert the attention of defenders while the attack is supported by a second wave of wingers. And at the level of national teams, Morata has proven himself well at the last Euro and World Cup, where his goals pulled the team forward to the last.

Juventus, Atlético and Chelsea - they are connected by a pragmatic vision of the game, to which Morata is so well adapted. Today's Milan are trying to follow the same concept that brought them the sensational title in 2021/22. However, since that moment the situation in the attacking line of the Rossoneri has noticeably worsened. Veterans Ibrahimovic and Giroud are no longer showing their best football, Origi's transfer turned out to be a mistake, and Leao's most valuable asset is sitting and waiting for a high-profile transfer.

Morata has experience in Italian football and has fared better there than in Spain or England. The contract of 30-year-old Alvaro with Los Colchoneros expires in the summer of 2024, so the likelihood of his transfer for about 20-25 million euros is quite high. It is unlikely that the Spaniard will be embarrassed by the fact that Milan is a direct competitor to Juventus, because, being a “realist”, he feels xomfortable at Atlético.

Now Simeone's team is on the rise, and Morata doesn’t make sense to change the situation. However, the temptation to discover a new club where he will be counted on as a leader is very high – it’s possible that Alvaro will still choose Milan and continue to improve his football heritage.
